General Manager, UK & Ireland
Clio is the global leader in legal AI technology, empowering legal professionals and law firms of every size to work smarter, faster, and more securely. We are transforming the legal experience for all by bettering the lives of legal professionals while increasing access to justice.
Summary
Clio has been building in Ireland and the UK for over a decade. Our Dublin office is now our European headquarters, and EMEA is one of our fastest-growing regions globally. What we need next is a leader who can turn that momentum into a deliberate, well-run business.
As General Manager, UK & Ireland, you will own the strategy, the revenue, and the team for the region. You will set the plan, build the leadership bench to deliver it, and be the face of Clio to solicitors, barristers, law firms, industry bodies, and partners across both markets. This is a builder's role with real scope: enough foundation to move quickly, enough open ground that the shape of the business over the next few years is genuinely yours to define.
You will report to the General Manager, International, and work alongside senior leaders across product and engineering, marketing, customer success, and revenue operations.
What you'll do
Set the strategy and own the number
- Develop the strategic vision for UKI, and deliver against revenue, growth, and market share goals.
- Partner with the General Manager, International, and wider sales leadership to define how Clio grows its presence across the UK and Ireland: which segments, which practice areas, which routes to market.
- Work closely with revenue operations to set plans for execution, compensation, enablement, and incentives that help the region find and monetize new opportunities.
Build and lead the team
- Directly manage, mentor, and expand our current UKI sales team.
- Recruit and develop top-tier leadership talent, with a specific lens on AI-native and AI-fluent professionals who are excited about redefining their roles alongside technology.
- Actively foster an environment of teamwork, transparency, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement, psychological safety, and AI curiosity, and lead the organization through significant growth with credibility and care.
Work across the business
- Build strong cross-functional relationships at executive and senior leadership level across product and engineering, marketing, customer success, and operations.
- Collaborate with marketing to make sure campaigns are working: fine-tune what already runs, and design new experiments that raise awareness and generate qualified leads.
- Monitor trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting the legal industry and legal technology sector.
- Benchmark best practices and ensure Clio’s SMB offering remains competitive and forward-thinking.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Represent Clio in the market
- Represent Clio at events and deliver presentations, both online and in person, to current and prospective clients, business partners, and law schools.
- Cultivate relationships with relevant technology and legal industry partners to accelerate Clio's presence in the UK and Ireland.
What you'll bring
- 8+ years in revenue leadership, including 5+ years leading second-line managers. You have managed leaders, not just individual contributors.
- A track record of owning a regional or country P&L, or a comparable revenue mandate, and hitting it. You can talk specifically about the plan you set, what you changed, and what it produced.
- Experience scaling a B2B SaaS sales organization through a step change in size, not just running a steady-state team.
- Real fluency in the UK and Ireland markets: how buying decisions get made, how firms are structured, where the regional nuances between the two markets actually matter.
- Credibility with a professional-services audience. Legal or legaltech experience is a strong advantage; if you do not have it, you can show you have earned trust quickly in a similarly expert, similarly skeptical market.
- Strong commercial instincts across pipeline, forecasting, segmentation, pricing dynamics, and sales capacity planning, and the rigor to work with revenue operations rather than around them.
- Genuine presence as a public voice for a brand: conference stages, webinars, partner conversations.
- A leadership style that holds a high bar and keeps people safe enough to tell you the truth.
How you work with AI
- AI is changing how sales teams operate, and we are looking for a leader who is ahead of that curve rather than waiting to be told what to adopt. We would like to see:
- Hands-on use of AI in your own work, and a clear view on where it improves commercial judgment and where it does not.
- Evidence that you have changed how a team works because of AI: a process you rebuilt, a role you redefined, a workflow you retired.
- An eye for hiring and developing people who treat AI fluency as part of the craft.
- The judgement to be honest with a legal audience about what AI does and does not do. Our customers are trained to find the gap between a claim and reality, and they will find it.
