We’re seeking a General Manager to join our team at Vignette Riverside Plaza, Canary Wharf, London.

In this role, you’ll lead a 142-room luxury riverside hotel as it joins Vignette Collection, establishing it as a flagship for the brand in the UK. You’ll set the standard for service, build and inspire a new leadership team and drive the commercial performance of a hotel with views across the Thames and the London skyline, moments from Canary Wharf’s financial district.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of hotel operations across 142 rooms and suites, three food and beverage outlets, five event spaces and leisure facilities including a 20-metre pool, spa and gym.
  • Lead the hotel’s transition to Vignette Collection, bringing the brand to life while keeping disruption to guests to a minimum during upgrade works.
  • Recruit, develop and lead a high-performing Executive Committee, and build a stable, engaged team across the hotel.
  • Deliver consistently high-end luxury service for senior executives, international travellers and high-profile guests who value discretion.
  • Own the commercial strategy, growing occupancy, rate and revenue across rooms, food and beverage, and events.
  • Win and negotiate significant corporate business with business bookers and agents, and grow repeat meetings and events business.
  • Embed our loyalty programme to drive direct and repeat stays.
  • Build a trusted, transparent partnership with the hotel’s owners, keeping them closely informed on progress and performance.
  • Represent the hotel within the Canary Wharf business community and the wider London market.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
