General Manager | Central Cambridge

Confidential opportunity with a landmark mixed-use destination

I am supporting the search for an experienced General Manager to lead the operation, customer experience and community environment of a new mixed-use destination in central Cambridge.

The development includes approximately 110,000 sq ft of Grade A office space, 70 build-to-rent apartments, green and community spaces, a nursery, and retail and food outlets. Designed to the highest sustainability standards, it is set to become a leading destination for businesses, residents and the wider community.

The role

Based on-site, you’ll lead all landlord operations and act as the key ambassador for the development. You’ll work closely with the property management team, asset management representatives, occupiers, residents, contractors and service partners to deliver an exceptional environment and consistently high standards of service.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing the on-site management and service partner teams
  • Building strong relationships with occupiers and key stakeholders
  • Delivering excellent customer experience and community engagement
  • Managing operational performance, SLAs, KPIs, risk and compliance
  • Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance and building services
  • Supporting service charge budgets, procurement and CAPEX projects
  • Delivering sustainability, ESG and socially responsible management initiatives
  • Supporting leasing, disposals, due diligence and investment-related activity
  • Establishing the operational standards and service culture for the destination

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
