General Manager - Black Sheep Coffee

Location: Black Sheep Coffee - Battersea

Hours: 45 Contracted Hours Per Week - Full Time

Pay: Up to £36,000 per annum + Up to 25% quarterly bonus scheme

Rota: Varied shifts Mon-Sun, including some openings and/or closings - creating your own rotas

We are after experienced and enthusiastic Managers who can drive sales and exceed KPI’s. With a strong background in team management and proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. We’re looking for people who are driven, communicative and passionate about all things’ coffee!

What You'll Do As General Manager

  • Make amazing coffee and products - dial in the perfect espresso, pour eye-catching latte art, and serve quality food and drinks every time. Ensuring your team do too.
  • Deliver unforgettable customer service - provide a friendly, genuine customer experience at the register and professionally handle customer complaints and escalations.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment - work with speed and efficiency during peak periods while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Manage compliant cash-up and bank drops - Follow all cash-handling, safety, and security procedures.
  • Be a true team player - Support ad hoc tasks assigned by General Manager, help train new team and communicate clearly and calmly during every shift.
  • Take pride in the details - maintain a clean, safe workspace and represent the brand with positivity and professionalism. Complete daily and shift-based cleaning, food prep, compliance checklists.
  • Keep service running smoothly and drive sales – place and receive stock orders to always ensure full availability.
  • Run the numbers - drive sales and profitability while managing reports, stock takes and hitting store KPIs.
  • Create team schedules - forecast footfall and busy periods to schedule the right people at the right time.
  • Lead by example - motivate and train the team on the required behavioural standards, company policies related to attendance, timekeeping, food safety, and workplace conduct.

What We're Looking For In A General Manager

  • A positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay focused in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous management experience within coffee or food service industry
  • Flexible availability, including some early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Schedule is published 3 weeks in advance.
