About the Role
Full P&L ownership, new business, and business growth. Lead and develop high-performing teams.
Our client is one of the world's leading aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) organizations and is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead its local Line Maintenance business.
This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for both the operational performance and commercial success of the business. You will lead the engineering and technical teams, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of maintenance services while meeting all regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Lead the engineering and technical teams to ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of maintenance services.
- Financial Performance: Full responsibility for the business's financial performance, including P&L ownership, budgeting, resource planning, and achieving key performance indicators.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the local business strategy, drive sustainable growth, expand existing customer relationships, and actively pursue new business opportunities.
- Customer Relations: Ensure existing customers receive outstanding service while building long-term partnerships that encourage repeat business and future growth.
- Market Opportunities: Work closely with the regional commercial, marketing, and sales teams to identify market opportunities, develop strategic initiatives, and represent the organization with airlines, regulators, and industry partners.

Requirements

- Education: Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: At least eight years of aircraft maintenance or comparable operational leadership experience.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of international aviation regulations.
- Commercial acumen.
- P&L management.
- Established airline industry network.
- Leadership: A visible leader who inspires high-performing teams, develops future leaders, and creates a culture of accountability, safety, and customer focus.
