Guaranteed basic starting salary £29,452.00 per annum.
Permanent role, ongoing progression encouraged with associated skill structure pay increases, overtime at enhanced rates, plus additional standard monthly bonuses paid each month.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Operative to join our growing friendly team, at Niftylift. The role is based at our state of the art manufacturing facility in Hoyland, Barnsley.

The General Operative Role requires a dynamic team player with proven experience, skills and knowledge in operating non CNC machines. The role requires operating to high quality workmanship standards within a world class manufacturing team and facility.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Required to work within a dedicated team responsible for the operation of machinery use in the manufacture of steel components. This will include manual reaming of finished products, operating a radial arm drill, pre-cleaning and post-cleaning of products and assembly of painted chassis'.
- Support to the fabrication/welding team as required.
Working Hours & Salary
Working hours will be: Monday - Thursday 07:30-16:30 (30 mins unpaid lunch break) Friday 07:30-13:30 - 40 hours per week
Guaranteed basic starting salary £12.91 x 40 hours per week plus guaranteed minimum £50 per week bonus - £29,452.00 plus overtime paid at premium rates outlined below:

- Level A - Overtime paid at premium rate of £19.37 per hour (i.e. x 1.5).
- Level B - Overtime paid at premium rate of £25.82 per hour (i.e. x 2.0).
Monthly bonus aligned to business performance that equates to total bonus payments of £280 - £350 per month on average (for reference only).

Experience
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience of using jigs and assembly fixtures to manufacture high quality repetitive components.
- Experience of using gauges and measuring equipment for inspection purposes.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) grade 4 or above
