Hours of Work

Monday - Friday (9:30am-2:30pm)

Retail Department

Role Definition

Working in an efficient & effective manner to help achieve the Company Mission Statement.

  • Barrel loaders/fillers - unloading mince from the Wolfing and loading into the Handman.
  • Debagging - Opening the primal bag and disposing of the waste bags.
  • Slicing - Feeding the slicer with templated primals.
  • Presenting - Placing product into pods/trays/preformed film.
  • Packing of finished products - Placing finished product into trays ready to be outer case marked.
  • Adhere to Company hygiene practices & safe food production.
  • To comply with health & safety rules, to prevent / minimise the risk of accidents.
  • Attend appropriate team meetings as required by the manager.
  • To participate in training, in accordance with your personal training plan.
  • Carry out any additional duties that may be reasonably requested by the manager.
  • Site budget: Be aware of budget constraints and support initiatives to reduce costs
  • Ensure best value and cost-effective use of people/overtime
  • Be aware of ppk cost and yields/giveaway costs

Boning Hall Department

Role Definition

To undertake at any designated areas a variety of tasks associated with the specific department to the required specifications and quality standards, as directed by the Team Leader / Supervisor or other senior staff, according to ABP and Customer specifications.

  • To competently carry out all tasks required for the undertaking of meat processing or related activities.
  • Work as part of a team and take responsibility for own work.
  • Undertake training relevant to the post.
  • Undertake job rotation relevant to the department.
  • Actively participate in personal development including communication and engagement.
  • Ensure that Health and Safety procedures are always observed.
  • Comply with ABP UK's Company policy and procedures in the workplace, including safe food handling and hygiene.
  • To comply with site security procedures.
  • Undertake any such duties that are within the scope and purpose of the job.
  • Carry out any additional duties that may be reasonably requested by the manager.
