Overview

Ceramic cores are a critical part of how advanced aerospace components are manufactured. At our Corby site, we produce high-precision ceramic cores that help shape some of the world's most complex engineering products.

We're looking for a General Operative – Finishing to join our PM Shift team. This role is all about precision, consistency, and attention to detail. If you're someone who takes pride in producing quality work and doesn't mind repetitive tasks (because getting it right matters), this could be a great fit.

The Role

Working within our Outputs team, you'll be preparing and finishing wax-coated ceramic core products to the required quality standards. Much of the work involves careful hand movements, close visual inspection, and following established processes to ensure every component meets specification.

This isn't a role where every day looks dramatically different. There will be periods of repetitive work and sitting for extended periods, but for the right person, that's often part of the appeal—you know what good looks like and you focus on delivering it consistently.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Prepare wax-coated components in line with production requirements
  • Carry out detailed visual inspections and quality checks
  • Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Handle components carefully to avoid damage during processing
  • Complete production records accurately and on time
  • Support the team in meeting production and quality targets
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area
  • Raise any quality, process, or safety concerns when identified

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
