General Operative - Warehousing
We require a General Operative to join our busy Warehousing team at our Wrexham Warehouse facility. The purpose of the role is to support the Warehouse team in maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the site.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across warehouse, production, and external work areas.
- Keep storage, packing, dispatch, and operational areas clean, organised, and free from hazards.
- Break down and dispose of cardboard, packaging, and waste materials in line with company procedures.
- Palletise materials and products safely, ensuring work areas remain tidy and organised.
- Move materials, stock, and equipment between locations as required.
- Support general warehouse and operational activities to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and handling materials when required.
- Carry out cleaning duties using appropriate equipment and methods.
- Support recycling and waste management activities.
- Identify and report housekeeping, safety, or maintenance issues.
- Follow all health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
- Maintain safe pedestrian walkways, storage areas, and workstations.
- Provide flexible support across the site to meet operational requirements.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the role.
- Any other duties deemed necessary by management.
- Observe all Company Rules, Standard Operating Procedures and Company Policies particularly in relation to Health and Safety, Harassment, Disciplinary and ICT Security.
- Maximize efficiency by supporting Cooneen Lean continuous improvement activities.

Essential
- Physically able to load and unload consignment.
- Relevant experience in a Stores/Warehouse environment.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and under direction.
- Keen eye for detail to ensure any imperfections are noticed.
- A good level of English to understand instructions and follow health & safety procedures.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Current DBS Vetting Check.

Desirable
- Competent in the use of IT Microsoft Office.
- GCSE Mathematics and English or equivalent at C Grade or above (or significant work experience).
- Experience of using IT Stock systems.
- Valid Forklift/Telehandler Licence.
- Experience of working a similar operation.
- Experience with the warehousing of similar products.
