Are you hardworking, reliable, and safety-focused? We're looking for a General Operative to join our team at Penmaenmawr Quarry, playing a vital role in the production and supply of essential construction materials across the region.

What You'll Be Doing
As a General Operative, you'll support day-to-day quarry and asphalt operations by:
- Operating and assisting with a range of equipment and facilities, including:
- Fixed Quarry Plant
- Mobile Plant (HME)
- Asphalt Plant
- Railhead Operations
- Carrying out routine inspections and basic maintenance checks on machinery and equipment.
- Reporting faults, defects, and maintenance requirements promptly.
- Loading, unloading, and handling materials safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the site.
- Following all health, safety, and environmental procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Identifying and reporting hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Supporting colleagues across operational areas as required.
- Contributing to a positive team culture focused on safety, quality, and performance.
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
- Experience within a quarry, asphalt, construction, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment.
- A strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- The physical capability to undertake manual duties and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliability, flexibility, and a willingness to learn.

Desirable
- Experience operating quarry or mobile plant machinery.
- Relevant plant tickets, certifications, or operating licences.
Essential
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to undertake training and development to support your career progression.
