Overview
General Operative – Outputs
Location: Corby, UK
Pay: £26227.50 Starting rate and then potential to increase on successful completion of Probation period
Back Shift Allowance: £1.20 per hour
Shift Available:
- Afternoon Shift: Monday – Thursday (2pm – 10pm), Friday (11:30am – 5pm)
- Full-time, Permanent | 37.5 hours per week

Join our Outputs at Morgan Advanced Materials, Corby, where we produce ceramic cores primarily for the aerospace sector. We are looking for a General Operative to carry out the precision finishing of raw ceramic products to high-quality standards using sandpaper, files, and NSK drills.
No prior experience? No problem. We offer full training to develop your skills in a high-volume, quality-driven production environment.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
Finishing & Quality Control
- Work with ceramic and wax components to remove die lines and refine surfaces.
- Follow Standard Process Instructions (SPI) to ensure consistency and quality.
- Perform visual checks to ensure products meet the required standards.
Production & Efficiency
- Accurately complete batch/routing cards before moving products to the next stage.
- Use magnifiers and specialist tools where required.
- Report issues or defects to maintain production quality.

Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
- Good understanding of written and verbal English
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to high-quality standards
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment (useful but not essential)
- Willingness to learn new processes and jobs
