Your Future Job
We are looking for a skilled General Operative to join our team. The focus of this role is to complete all GO1 tasks to a high standard, by constantly challenging the status quo and be at the forefront of evolution, continuous improvement, quality, and health, safety & welfare. Whilst promoting Unilin’s core values of openness, integrity, adaptability, customer focus, and team approach.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 08:00-16:30
Key Accountabilities
Health & Safety
- To encourage and practice working in a safe working as set out in the Health and Safety policy.
Quality Standards
- Ensure they are supporting the team in performing to quality standards in terms of product quality and housekeeping.
Trial / Improvements
- Participate in processes and production trials as and when required to ensure that they run successfully and support the technical department.
Area / Line Performance
- Adherence to plan and achieving line speeds, meeting standards required.
- Able to share knowledge with others and support with ‘in house’ training.
Communication
- Effective communication throughout the department.
- Ability to communicate with people clearly and effectively.
Administration
- Carry out necessary administrative tasks and ensure that systems are updated as required.
- Ensuring correct and accurate data recording.

Key Tasks and Duties
- Work within the ethos and standards of the company
- Work in all areas of the factory
- Complete training and all functions of GO1 Grade 1
- Keep good housekeeping standards in all areas
- Keep up to date knowledge of all products
- Ensure waste is discarded in appropriate manner
- Follow work instructions in all areas
- Complete and pass GO1 training in your designated area
- Ensure you comply with Health & Safety regulations
- You are responsible for your own Health & Safety and the Health and Safety of your fellow employees
- Ensure all data to be recorded is accurate and up to date
- Ensure area is prepared for start up to include correct labels and packaging
- Ensure quality guidelines are followed for all areas
- Undertake flexible working hours to meet deadlines
- Undertake any other tasks appropriate to the position, as requested by management
