- Salary: £29,555 P/A + Package
- Shifts: Monday to Friday Days - 40 hours a week
- Contract: Full-time, Permanent
- Location: Peterhead, AB42 3GL

About the Role
We're looking for a Production Operative to join our Peterhead team. Working within a fast-paced warehouse and production environment, you'll play a key role in conditioning reusable plastic units and processing pallets to quality standards, ensuring they can be safely re-issued to our customers.

This is a varied hands-on role involving inspection, cleaning, quality checks, warehouse duties, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the plant.
What You'll Do
- Inspect, clean and condition plastic units ready for re-use
- Check units for damage and correct operation, recording findings accurately
- Capture production and quality data to support KPI reporting
- Load and unload units from vehicles safely and efficiently
- Wrap and prepare stacks of units for storage and dispatch
- Support warehouse operations and material movements
- Inspect, repair and refurbish pallets to required quality standards
- Carry out pre-start equipment and safety checks at the start of shifts
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in line with 5S principles
- Promote CHEP's Zero Harm, Zero Defect and Zero Waste culture
- Participate in daily team briefings and safety communications
- Support additional site activities following training, including bin washing, pallet painting and manual stencilling
What We Need From You
- Previous experience within a production, warehouse, manufacturing or logistics environment is advantageous
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding role involving manual handling
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow processes and record operational data accurately
- Flexible approach to undertaking a variety of operational tasks
- Forklift Truck experience would be beneficial but is not essential
