About The Role
Manpower UK seeks a General Operator for a temporary assignment in Swindon, paying up to £16.91 per hour. This full-time position operates on a rotating double day shift, alternating weekly between 7:00am–3:00pm and 3:00pm–11:00pm, Monday to Friday. The base rate is £13.86 per hour plus a 22% shift allowance. Working within a regulated cleanroom, you will support pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, adhering strictly to quality and safety protocols. Suitable candidates possess strong attention to detail and reliability. Full training is provided, making this role ideal for those seeking steady work within a structured production setting. Prior experience in manufacturing or cleanroom environments is advantageous but not essential.

We're seeking motivated and detail-oriented General Operators to join a highly regulated cleanroom manufacturing team. The Role
As a General Operator, you'll play a key role in supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing operations and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within Grade C/D cleanroom environments in accordance with GMP standards.
- Follow gowning procedures and maintain strict cleanroom practices.
- Prepare cleaning materials and carry out cleaning and sanitisation activities in line with SOPs.
- Support the transfer of materials into classified production areas.
- Maintain stock levels and ensure materials are within expiry dates.
- Operate airlocks and, following training, assist with autoclave and part washer activities.
- Carry out packaging, labelling and in-process quality checks.
- Complete all production documentation accurately and in line with Data Integrity principles.
- Report any quality, compliance, or safety concerns to management and Quality Assurance.
- Conduct environmental monitoring activities once fully trained and qualified.

What We're Looking For
We're interested in candidates who:

- Work well independently and as part of a team.
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Experience
- Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or GMP manufacturing experience.
- Cleanroom experience.
- Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment such as food, medical device, or healthcare production.
Full training will be provided, so we're keen to hear from candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
