Remote Locum GP / Triage / EMIS / 4 Sessions per Week
Position: Remote Locum GP – Triage
Sessions: 4 sessions per week
Rate: £70 to £95 per hour
Location: Fully Remote
System: EMIS
Contract: Locum
The Role
The role will focus on remote triage and the clinical review of high-volume patient contacts, primarily through text and online/form-based consultations.
You will be responsible for assessing incoming consultations, making appropriate clinical decisions, and determining the most suitable outcome for each patient.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing and clinically assessing high-volume text and online/form-based consultations
- Providing telephone consultations where clinically appropriate
- Triage and prioritisation of patient requests
- Diagnosing and managing patients remotely where appropriate
- Issuing prescriptions and referrals when clinically indicated
- Providing appropriate safety-netting and follow-up advice
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive clinical records on EMIS
- Working autonomously and managing your own clinical workload
- Escalating patients where face-to-face assessment or further investigation is required
- Ensuring all consultations are managed safely and in line with relevant clinical guidelines

What We're Looking For
- GMC-registered GP with the right to work in the UK
- Previous experience working in UK primary care
- Experience using EMIS
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Confident undertaking telephone consultations and digital triage
- Able to manage a high volume of online/text-based consultations
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
- Available for 4 sessions per week

What We Offer
- £70–£90 per hour, depending on experience
