Job Opportunity: UK General Practitioners and NHS Medical Coders

iMerit is seeking qualified UK General Practitioners (GPs) with SNOMED CT experience or NHS Medical Coders with SNOMED CT experience to support a remote Healthcare AI project focused on document labeling, entity tagging, and medical coding.

About the Role

The project involves reviewing inbound GP documents, extracting relevant clinical entities, and coding them against a defined SNOMED CT axis list.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret inbound GP clinical documents.
  • Identify and tag relevant clinical entities.
  • Assign appropriate SNOMED CT codes based on project guidelines.
  • Work with clinical concepts including disorders, findings, observable entities, products, procedures, qualifier values, record artifacts, and situations with explicit context.
  • Ensure labeling and coding are accurate and consistent with established quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • UK-based General Practitioner with SNOMED CT experience, or NHS Medical Coder with SNOMED CT experience.
  • Strong understanding of UK medical terminology and clinical documentation.
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting GP or NHS clinical records.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured coding guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications
