Role Description

This Part Time/Full Time General Practitioner role is based primarily at Portland Medical Centre, South Norwood, Croydon. The General Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care services, including consultations, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of a wide range of health conditions across all age groups. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Conducting in-person and remote appointments
  • Reviewing test results
  • Prescribing medications
  • Managing chronic diseases
  • Coordinating care with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and specialist services
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records
  • Contributing to practice audits and quality improvement initiatives
  • Participating in multidisciplinary meetings
  • Supporting patient education and preventive care programs

Remuneration

£11,500 to £13,000 depending on experience

Qualifications

Essential

  • GMC registration with a licence to practise
  • MRCGP
  • Inclusion (or eligible for inclusion) on the NHS GP Performers List
  • Strong clinical and communication skills
  • Commitment to teamwork and delivering patient-centred care
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Nursing and other clinical staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
  • Commitment to ongoing Training and professional development, including keeping up to date with clinical guidelines and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consultation skills, including proficiency in remote and in-person patient interactions.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and competence in using electronic health record systems and digital tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site clinical work with remote administrative and follow-up tasks.
  • Experience in UK primary care
