The Hollies Surgery is seeking an enthusiastic and patient-centred General Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team in Downham Market, Norfolk.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a modern, forward-thinking practice that is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate primary care while supporting the professional development and wellbeing of our clinicians.

About the Role

You will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population, managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions while working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, effective and patient-centred consultations.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and long-term medical conditions.
  • Prescribe safely in accordance with national and local guidance.
  • Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records using EMIS.
  • Participate in safeguarding, clinical governance and quality improvement activities.
  • Work collaboratively with nurses, pharmacists, HCAs and administrative colleagues.
  • Contribute to improving patient outcomes and experience.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
  • MRCGP (or equivalent).
  • Inclusion on the NHS England Performers List.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Interest in teaching, quality improvement or service development.
  • Experience using EMIS Web.
  • Experience in chronic disease management and minor illness.
