We are seeking an energetic and dynamic General Sales Manager to lead our sales team at Yeomans Honda Eastbourne with passion and precision. Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the sales team, overseeing all aspects of the sales process, including prospecting, qualifying leads, presenting vehicles, upselling accessories and add-ons, and closing deals.
  • Ensure all targets, KPIs, and Honda brand standards are met and consistently exceeded.
  • Setting objectives to maximise the profitability and performance of the sales department.
  • Developing sales department plans and budgets to achieve quarterly and annual targets.
  • Managing financial and operational controls across the department and wider dealership.
  • Responding swiftly to any customer complaints and ensure appropriate and timely resolutions are achieved.
  • Taking responsibility for recruitment and training plans within the dealership.

Requirements

  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • A proven track record of running a successful sales department in a main dealer environment.
  • A strong understanding of the used car market, with experience of buying and maintaining used car stock and an excellent understanding of the AutoTrader platform to maximise used car profitability and stock turn.
  • The ability to lead by example, and to manage and inspire the team to consistently exceed new and used volume and profitability objectives.
  • Experience of developing and monitoring budgets.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills with high levels of self-motivation.
  • Located within a 60 minute drive of our Eastbourne Honda dealership with a full UK driving licence.
