Role Overview
Are you an experienced automotive Sales Executive looking to take the next step into management? Or are you already working as a Sales Manager, Sales Controller, Transaction Manager, or Business Manager and looking for your next challenge? Our client — a successful, fast-paced prestige main dealer in Walton — is looking for a driven, commercially minded Sales Manager to lead their sales team, maximise opportunities, and drive strong results across the department. This role would suit someone with a proven background in automotive sales who understands how to convert enquiries, build rapport, close deals, and get the best out of a sales team.
Salary
£40,000 - £45,000
OTE £64,000 - £72,000
Hours
Monday–Friday 9am-6pm,
Saturdays 9am - 5pm,
1 in 2 Sundays 10am-4pm with a day off during the week

What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the sales team and driving performance against monthly targets
- Coaching Sales Executives on enquiry handling, appointments, test drives, and closing techniques
- Maximising every sales opportunity across new and used vehicles
- Supporting the team with deal structuring, negotiations, and closing sales
- Monitoring leads, enquiries, appointments, and conversion rates
- Driving finance, insurance, and additional product penetration
- Ensuring strong profit retention across every deal
- Managing individual and team KPIs and providing regular performance feedback
- Maintaining high levels of showroom activity and customer follow-up
- Monitoring stock, vehicle ageing, and used car performance
- Ensuring every customer receives a professional, engaging, and high-quality sales experience
- Working closely with senior management to achieve volume and profitability targets

What We’re Looking For
- Previous automotive Sales Manager, Sales Controller, Transaction Manager, or Business Manager experience OR an experienced Sales Executive ready to step up
- Strong track record in automotive sales
- Confident closing deals and negotiating with customers
- Excellent understanding of the full vehicle sales process
- Strong knowledge of finance products and additional revenue opportunities
- Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Natural leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop others
- Commercially minded with a strong focus on profit and performance
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
