Thrive Recruitment Group is recruiting General Secondary Supply Teachers to support secondary schools across Penzance and the surrounding area.
We're looking for qualified teachers from all subject specialisms who are happy to provide day-to-day and short-term classroom cover.
This could be ideal if you're looking to move away from the demands of a permanent post while keeping the part of teaching you enjoy most - working directly with young people.
A Typical Supply Day
You'll arrive at school ready to step into the classroom and provide continuity for pupils when their regular teacher is unavailable.

You'll Be Expected To
- Deliver pre-planned lessons.
- Provide subject-specific or general secondary cover.
- Maintain established classroom routines.
- Manage behaviour positively and confidently.
- Encourage pupils to complete the work provided.
- Adapt to different classes and year groups.
- Follow school safeguarding and behaviour procedures.
- Leave appropriate feedback for the permanent teacher.
What You'll Need
We're Looking For Candidates With
- QTS or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Experience working within secondary education.
- Good classroom-management skills.
- Confidence working with different groups of pupils.
- A flexible and adaptable approach.
- Reliability and professionalism.
