Shropshire Council

Teaching Assistant – Level 2 (General & SEND Support) – 32.5 hours per week

Extended Schools Assistant – Level 2 (After-School Club) – 7.5 hours per week

Total 40 hrs per week in total (Mon-Fri)

Required As Soon As Possible

Temporary Sickness Cover: Until 16th July 2027 but could be extended

Grade 5 - £14.14 Per Hour (43.60 weeks/term time only)

Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week in total

1:1 SEND TA Position - 8.30 am - 3.30 pm (including 30 minutes Lunchtime Supervision) & Extended Schools Assistant Position – 3.30 pm-5.00 pm

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to fulfil three roles:

  • To work as a general TA to support classroom teaching and learning
  • To work with and support an identified pupil in Year 6 with medical needs, who has an EHCP, on an individual basis.
  • To work alongside our current After-School Club Leader to provide extended school childcare provision.

The successful candidate will be someone who will support general classroom teaching and learning and also promote the learning and personal development of the identified pupil to whom you are assigned, to enable the pupil to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them.

The successful candidate will also be enthusiastic and committed in providing after-school childcare at the end of the school day.

The successful candidate will be offered two Temporary Sickness Cover contracts:

  1. Teaching Assistant (inc. SEND support).
  2. Extended Schools Assistant.
