Role Overview: New Horizons School is a nurturing and inclusive specialist provision for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We are seeking an enthusiastic, resilient, and inspirational General Studies Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role involves teaching a broad General Studies curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping pupils build the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed. The ability to teach Mathematics at KS3 and KS4 would be a real asset.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver and support accredited courses, including GCSE, BTEC, and alternative pathways.
- Motivate and engage vulnerable learners.
- Create meaningful and well-planned learning experiences across a range of subjects.
- Prepare pupils for their next stages of education, employment, and adulthood.
- An understanding of SEMH needs, trauma-informed practice, or experience of working with pupils with EHCPs would be welcome.

Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher main to upper pay scale.
- MPS 1-6 /UPS 1-3.
- SEN allowance.
- TLR2a is available dependent on experience.
