General Teaching Assistant (KS1/KS2) – Primary
Location: Wandsworth, London
Pay: £90 – £100 per day
Contract: Full-time | Long-term temporary
Start Date: 8 September 2026
Are you an experienced General Teaching Assistant looking for a long-term primary school opportunity in Wandsworth? Transparency Education is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant (KS1/KS2) to support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting class teachers with the delivery of lessons and activities.
- Providing individual and small-group learning support.
- Reinforcing key literacy and numeracy skills.
- Helping pupils remain engaged, confident, and independent in their learning.
- Supporting children with additional needs where appropriate.
- Promoting positive behaviour and good classroom routines.
- Assisting with resources, displays, and general classroom organisation.

What we're looking for
- Previous experience supporting children in a school or similar setting.
- A good understanding of primary-aged pupils and their learning needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A calm and encouraging approach to behaviour and learning.
- SEND experience would be advantageous.
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
Pay is determined based on candidate qualifications and experience.
