General Teaching Assistant (KS1/KS2) – Primary

Location: Wandsworth, London

Pay: £90 – £100 per day

Contract: Full-time | Long-term temporary

Start Date: 8 September 2026

Are you an experienced General Teaching Assistant looking for a long-term primary school opportunity in Wandsworth? Transparency Education is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant (KS1/KS2) to support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting class teachers with the delivery of lessons and activities.
  • Providing individual and small-group learning support.
  • Reinforcing key literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Helping pupils remain engaged, confident, and independent in their learning.
  • Supporting children with additional needs where appropriate.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and good classroom routines.
  • Assisting with resources, displays, and general classroom organisation.

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience supporting children in a school or similar setting.
  • A good understanding of primary-aged pupils and their learning needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A calm and encouraging approach to behaviour and learning.
  • SEND experience would be advantageous.
  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Pay is determined based on candidate qualifications and experience.
