Description
Permanent full-time contract, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Interview date: 21 August
Key purpose: To support the Art and Design teaching team and students to ensure the studios and workshops are safe and fully stocked, whilst also supporting students within an open studio environment outside of timetabled lessons.

Key Responsibilities
- To support the delivery of high-quality curriculum skills across the Department of Art and Design and Adult learning
- To support teaching staff in the delivery of innovative practical workshop sessions across a diverse range of materials/applications and across all levels and programmes as required.
- To prepare samples, test pieces, and demonstrations as specified by the lecturer across specific disciplines but not limited to Fine Art and sculpture.
- To induct students on the safe working practices across various studios, including 3D/sculpture.
- To provide technical support and practical advice to enable students to realise their ideas three-dimensionally/spatially.
- To facilitate the support for woodworking and carpentry across the strand, using power tools and machinery (band saw, compound mitre saw, various woodwork hand tools).

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- Qualified to degree level in a creative subject, preferably Art and Design.
