Role-Generalist Solution Architect
Location– London, UK Type: 1 year FTC Hybrid - 4 days office Mandatory
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end solution architecture and HLD across all workstreams
- Define and govern event-driven architecture patterns (Kafka/event streaming, async processing)
- Manage cross-domain dependencies and ensure integration consistency
- Provide architecture governance, design approvals, and CAB stakeholder engagement
- Partner with Integration Architect, Data Architect, and offshore Solution Architects
- Ensure solutions meet NFRs – scalability, resilience, security, regulatory compliance
- Lead design workshops, vendor reviews, and architecture boards
- Maintain architecture roadmap and technical debt management

Experience Required
- 10–15 years total experience, with 5+ years as Solution Architect
- Proven experience in large banking / financial services transformation programs
- Strong exposure to multiple domains: Payments, KYC, Billing, Treasury, Operations
- Experience working in onshore leadership roles with offshore delivery teams

Technical & Domain Skills
- Strong experience in event-driven architecture (Kafka, event bus, streaming platforms)
- Expertise in microservices, APIs, cloud-native architecture (Azure/AWS)
- Understanding of payment ecosystems (SEPA, SWIFT, Faster Payments, ISO 20022)
- Familiarity with CRM (Dynamics), billing, transaction monitoring, and reporting systems
- Knowledge of TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks
