Rate: £700-£750 Inside IR35

Location: Remote, UK, with travel to London 1-2 times per quarter Duration: 6 months initially Start Date: October 2026

We are looking for an experienced AI / GenAI Engineer to support a major Trading Automation programme.

You will design and build production-ready Generative AI and agentic solutions that automate trading workflows. The role will involve working across Databricks and Azure, collaborating with data engineers, trading teams, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy Generative AI and LLM-based applications.
  • Build AI agents and multi-step agentic workflows for trading automation.
  • Develop and deploy models using Databricks Mosaic AI, MLflow, and Model Serving.
  • Build RAG pipelines integrating LLMs with enterprise data.
  • Apply prompt engineering, evaluation, and testing techniques to improve model performance and reliability.
  • Integrate AI solutions with data pipelines, applications, and business workflows.
  • Translate business and trading requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Support responsible AI, model governance, and production monitoring.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience building Generative AI and LLM applications in production.
  • Hands-on experience designing AI agents or agentic workflows.
  • Strong experience with Databricks AI capabilities, including Mosaic AI, MLflow, or Model Serving.
  • Advanced Python development skills.
  • Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of RAG architectures, prompt engineering, and LLM evaluation.
  • Experience deploying AI solutions within Azure environments.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, client-facing environment.
