Location: Cambridge (Hybrid)
Salary: £95,000 - £105,000 + Equity / Benefits

About Our Client

Our client is an AI-focused technology company developing next-generation products using large language models and generative AI. Following further investment, they are expanding the engineering team responsible for taking generative AI applications from prototype into production.

The Role

You will design and build production-grade generative AI features, working across LLM integration, retrieval systems, evaluation, prompting and application engineering. The role offers significant influence over technical direction and product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build customer-facing applications powered by large language models.
  • Develop retrieval-augmented generation and semantic search systems.
  • Integrate commercial and open-source foundation models.
  • Design prompting, tool-use and agentic workflows.
  • Build evaluation frameworks for quality, reliability and safety.
  • Optimise latency, cost and performance of AI applications.
  • Work with Product and Engineering teams to take prototypes into production.
  • Track emerging AI techniques and assess their practical application.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
