Generator Engineer
£34,000 – £40,000 + Company Van + Overtime (£50k+)

NEOS Engineering are recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer to join a well-established business within the plant hire and generator industry. This is a field-based Service Engineer position covering the Midlands, servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of diesel generators.
We are looking for a Service Engineer who has previous experience working on generators, diesel engines or power generation equipment. You'll be responsible for keeping customers' generators running, attending breakdowns and carrying out both mechanical and electrical fault finding.
The Role
- Service, maintenance and repair of diesel generators
- Field Service Engineer role covering the Midlands
- Attending generator breakdowns and diagnosing faults
- Mechanical and electrical fault finding on generators
- Planned and preventative maintenance
- Working across a range of diesel generators and associated equipment
- Carrying out repairs to minimise generator downtime
- Working independently from a fully equipped company van
- Providing a high level of service to customers across the region

The Candidate
- Service Engineer / Generator Engineer / Generator Technician / Field Service Engineer
- Previous experience servicing and repairing generators
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and generator systems
- Mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience
- Experience within generators, power generation, plant hire, heavy plant or similar
- Comfortable attending generator breakdowns in the field
- Full UK driving licence
- Happy covering the Midlands as a mobile Service Engineer
