Bedford - Bedfordshire Patch
Are you a Generator Engineer looking to join a leading power generation company that offers unlimited overtime, excellent career progression, manufacturer training, and door-to-door pay while covering a local patch?
This is an opportunity to join a leading international power generation specialist established in 1985. With over 200 employees, the business designs, manufactures, installs and maintains CHP, gas engine, biogas, landfill gas and battery storage systems, helping industrial and public sector clients improve energy efficiency while reducing emissions.
In this role, you will carry out planned servicing, breakdown repairs and fault finding on diesel and gas-powered generator systems across customer sites throughout Bedfordshire. You'll diagnose both mechanical and electrical faults, complete preventative maintenance, produce service reports and work closely with customers to maximise equipment uptime and first-time fix rates.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
