Datar Cancer Genetics UK is looking for a highly organised, proactive and personable Genomic & Oncology Testing Coordinator to join our growing private oncology team.
This is a varied and rewarding role coordinating genomic and oncology testing from the initial request through to results delivery. You will work closely with clinicians, patients, private hospitals, clinics, laboratories and internal teams to ensure every test progresses smoothly, accurately and within agreed timescales.
The role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, building strong relationships and taking ownership of multiple processes from start to finish.
There will also be opportunities to become involved in client engagement, service development, marketing, events and operational projects, making this a varied role with scope to develop as the company grows.
The position is primarily office-based, with occasional visits to hospitals, clinics and laboratories.
Job description:
Key Responsibilities:-
- Coordinate genomic and oncology test requests from enquiry through to results delivery.
- Liaise with clinicians, patients, clinics and laboratories to ensure testing progresses smoothly and within agreed timelines.
- Manage samples, documentation, test information and follow-up activities accurately.
- Provide support on test options, sample requirements, pricing and turnaround times.
- Maintain accurate records in line with GDPR and quality requirements.
- Build strong relationships with clinicians, clients, laboratory partners and internal teams.
- Support client onboarding, marketing activities, events and communications.
- Contribute to service improvement and operational projects.
- Track actions, timelines and deliverables to ensure projects remain on track.

About You:-
- Highly organised, proactive and self-motivated.
- Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, genomics, laboratories or a similar customer-facing environment. Confident communicating with clinicians, patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Able to manage multiple priorities with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to take initiative, think on your feet and find practical solutions independently.
- Comfortable taking ownership while knowing when to seek advice or escalate.
- A strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and relevant healthcare or laboratory systems.

- Experience in genomic testing, oncology, molecular diagnostics, personalised medicine or healthcare project coordination.
