Your new role
As a Geo-Environmental Consultant, you will support the delivery of a broad range of contaminated land, site investigation and brownfield redevelopment projects. Working closely with experienced specialists, you will contribute to both site-based and office-based project work, helping clients address complex ground engineering and land quality challenges.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Planning, procuring and supervising ground investigations.
- Undertaking Phase 1 Geo-Environmental Desk Studies and Preliminary Risk Assessments.
- Collecting, analysing and interpreting environmental and geotechnical data.
- Preparing Phase 2 Geo-Environmental Interpretative Reports.
- Conducting groundwater and ground gas monitoring and assessment.
- Supporting contaminated land assessments and remediation strategies.
- Liaising with contractors, clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.

What you'll need to succeed
Essential:
- Substantial experience within a UK consultancy geo-environmental or contaminated land role.
- A degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
- Experience undertaking contaminated land investigations and risk assessments.
- Knowledge of current contaminated land legislation, standards and guidance.
- Experience supervising ground investigations and site works.
- Strong technical reporting and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and organised approach to project delivery.
- A full UK driving licence.

Desirable:
- Environmental Due Diligence.
- Groundwater and ground gas monitoring.
- Professional site certifications such as CSCS, SSSTS, SMSTS or First Aid.
