Geo-Environmental Engineer Required at NPL, Norwich, Norfolk - NR1 2SG

Salary: Starting at £37,241.45 per annum - Negotiable dependent on experience

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

About the Role

Norfolk Partnership Laboratory (NPL) provides an experienced testing and consultancy service to the construction industry, performing a wide range of tests both onsite and at the laboratory, offering specialist advice to our clients.

We are currently recruiting for a Geoenvironmental Engineer to join the laboratory team based at County Hall in Norwich. This opportunity is available on a permanent basis, working 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

As a Geoenvironmental Engineer, you will:

  • Design, implement and consult on a range of work programmes for external clients, including engineering solutions and conducting testing.
  • Utilise your previous experience to plan and conduct a wide array of Geoenvironmental investigations.
  • Analyse your findings and compose reports to be reviewed by the Lead Engineer.
  • Develop proposals, determine costs and schedules for investigations.
  • Enter data using geotechnical software, allowing you to produce logs and other associated outputs.
  • Prepare CAD drawings for investigations, design and reporting.

Requirements

Our Successful Candidate will have extensive previous experience within Geoenvironmental Engineering, also demonstrating:

  • Previous experience in factual report writing as well as providing expert recommendations.
  • Geoenvironment Engineering / Engineering Geology or similar qualification.
  • Professional membership of an appropriate professional body, and willing to obtain chartered status.
  • Strong communicator, with excellent verbal and written skills.
