Are you an experienced Geography teacher looking to take the next step in your academic career? Look no further, we have an exciting opportunity in one of our well established secondary schools in the Pontefract area. We are looking for a passionate individual to educate students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This is a long term vacancy from September 2026 and will run until the end of the academic year.

About the role of a Geography Teacher

We are looking for an individual who can confidently teach Geography to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. As a Geography teacher you will be sharing knowledge and displaying a deep understanding of the subject and will have the opportunity to make an impact on students' academic journey. Your role will involve planning and delivering engaging lessons as well as displaying strong classroom management.

As a Geography teacher you will be expected to follow the school policies and procedures and carry the school ethos with positivity. Regular checks must be carried out to track students' progress and understanding on the topic.

Requirements to be a Geography Teacher:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • A relevant qualification related to Geography
  • Strong behaviour management skills with the ability to control the classroom
