Whether you are an experienced Geography Teacher seeking a fresh challenge in Cambridgeshire or an ambitious Early Career Geography Teacher aiming to establish strong roots, this position provides a brilliant platform to share your humanities expertise.
You will become part of a welcoming, collaborative humanities faculty that values innovative teaching methods, shared planning, and fieldwork investigation to ensure every student succeeds.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Engaging Lessons: As an impactful Geography Teacher, you will plan and deliver stimulating physical and human geography sessions across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE) aligned with the UK National Curriculum.
- Full Curriculum Ownership: Take full responsibility for class preparation, coursework support, ongoing pupil assessment, and GCSE exam preparation.
- Fieldwork and Practical Learning: Lead fieldwork studies and data collection activities, helping students apply theoretical concepts to real-world environments.
- Support All Ability Levels: Differentiate instruction effectively to stretch high achievers while providing structured support for pupils developing core analytical and mapping skills.
- Departmental Support: Work alongside humanities colleagues to refine schemes of work, integrate GIS tools, and support extra-curricular eco-clubs or trips.

Candidate Profile
We are searching for an articulate, creative Geography Teacher with strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom leadership.
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
- Proven track record of working as a Geography Teacher within a UK secondary school setting.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for environmental topics, spatial analysis, and sustainability.
- Effective classroom management strategies grounded in positive encouragement and high expectations.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to process one through Randstad).
