The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and SEO specialist to support the execution of EY's SEO and GEO strategy across content portfolios within a large, complex digital ecosystem of global and country-specific websites. This role is responsible for applying established governance standards, processes and optimization practices to improve organic search visibility, AI discoverability and content performance.

The GEO SEO Optimization Supervising Associate serves as the operational link between strategy and execution, working closely with global and local teams to ensure consistent adoption of approved SEO and GEO practices across content portfolios and digital experiences. The role focuses on implementing optimization recommendations, driving execution excellence, monitoring performance and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

The ideal candidate is an experienced SEO and GEO practitioner with a proven ability to execute optimization initiatives within large, complex organizations. They are comfortable analyzing performance data, identifying opportunities, implementing improvements and enabling stakeholders to adopt established SEO and GEO standards, processes and best practices at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute SEO and GEO optimization activities to improve search visibility, AI discoverability and content performance.
  • Optimize content for traditional search engines, answer engines and AI-powered discovery experiences, including Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Conduct content reviews and implement optimization recommendations to improve organic performance and discoverability.
  • Apply SEO and GEO governance standards, processes and operating model requirements across optimization activities.
  • Monitor adherence to approved practices and identify opportunities to improve consistency, adoption and implementation quality.
  • Escalate governance, policy, process or prioritization issues to appropriate program leads when required.
  • Analyze SEO and GEO performance data to identify trends, risks, opportunities and optimization priorities.
  • Diagnose causes of underperforming content, declining search visibility or low AI discoverability and recommend corrective actions.
  • Use enterprise SEO, GEO and analytics platforms to measure impact, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide practical SEO and GEO guidance to content teams, publishers and market stakeholders.
  • Support implementation of SEO and GEO requirements across content, campaign and publishing initiatives.
  • Share optimization insights, recommendations and best practices to build capability and encourage adoption of approved standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
