Geospatial Mapping and Science Specialists
Geospatial Mapping and Science Specialists collect, manage, interpret and analyse geospatial data. This data is used to create maps and models that support decision-making across a wide range of sectors.
We work with technologies such as laser scanning, global satellite positioning systems, BIM, CAD and drone surveying.
What you'll do at work
- On-site use specialist survey equipment to measure land and buildings
- Use office based specialist survey software to process the data collected on-site
- Use office based software to create 2D CAD drawings and 3D Models

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
- Training 1 day a week will take place at the University of East London (UEL) docklands campus
- 4 days working on-site and in the office at Michael Gallie & Partners
Requirements
- A Level in MATHS (grade C UPWARDS)
- Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
