Geospatial Operations Lead

Location: Cambourne or Leeds (Hybrid / Flexible)

Base Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (experience dependant) + Performance Incentives

The Opportunity: Build, Lead, and Grow

EPS is 25 years into a journey of delivering joined-up solutions for the built environment. We aren't looking for a "caretaker"—we are looking for a Geospatial Operations Lead with the ambition to take ownership of our survey division.

We are seeking a high-calibre professional ready to transition from a technical practitioner role into a strategic leadership position. You will act as the Technical Architect of our department—delivering high-value in-house aerial (M300/P1) surveys and traditional topographic surveys while acting as the "Intelligent Client" for our broader project portfolio.

The Role: Hybrid Leadership

You will be the engine of our department, balancing field craft with strategic management.

The Hybrid Split:

  • You will spend roughly 30-40% of your time on the "front line" (conducting aerial surveys and complex site visits)
  • 60-70% of your time as a "Technical Architect" (managing our curated external survey network, auditing data, and driving growth)

Systems-Led Excellence:

  • We are finalising a comprehensive suite of well-thought-out templates, workflows, and CAD/N4CE standards.
  • Your job is to deploy, implement, and refine these systems so our deliverables remain the gold standard.

The "Intelligent Client":

  • You will manage our external strategic partners.
  • Whether the job is routine topo, TLS, SLAM, or measured building, you are the technical gatekeeper.
  • You ensure every external deliverable meets the "EPS Standard" before it reaches our engineers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
