  • Designing and specifying site investigations
  • Producing geotechnical interpretative reports and specifications

  • Working on ground improvement, mineral workings and natural cavity-related projects

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

There is also the opportunity to gain exposure to geo-environmental work, including ground risk assessments, laboratory testing strategies and remediation recommendations.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer with a solid grounding in geotechnical principles and consultancy experience.

Ideally, you'll have experience with:

  • Foundations and earthworks
  • Slope stability and settlement assessments
  • Ground improvement
  • Mineral workings and natural cavities
  • Ground investigation and interpretation

Experience with AutoCAD, Rocscience (Slide2/Settle3) or Oasys (pDisp) would be useful, although not essential. You'll also need strong communication skills, a proactive approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The Opportunity

This is a good opportunity to join a growing consultancy where you'll have the chance to work on a varied project portfolio, collaborate closely with Civil and Structural Engineers and continue developing your technical experience. The business places a strong emphasis on technical development, collaboration and progression, with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as the team continues to grow.
