Are you an Engineering Geologist or Geotechnical Engineer with ground investigation experience, looking to join a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy offering technical variety, chartership support, and the opportunity to work on projects across the South West?
On offer is the opportunity to join a growing geotechnical team within a respected environmental and engineering business, delivering a wide range of ground investigation projects across the South West and South Wales. With over 30 years of experience, the company works across the private and public sectors.
Your role will involve undertaking and supervising ground investigations, carrying out Phase 1 Desk Studies, logging soils and rock to BS 5930 standards, interpreting field and laboratory data, and producing factual and interpretative geotechnical and geo-environmental reports.
You will also liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

The Role
- Phase 1 desk studies, including historical records review
- Organising ground investigations and visiting sites
- Sending soil and rock samples to be tested in the laboratory
- In-situ testing where required
- Creating geo-environmental reports
- Logging all samples to BS 5930 standards
- Travelling to sites across the South West and South Wales
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 - 5
The Person
- Degree in relevant field
- Practical ground investigation and sampling experience
- Full UK driving license
