Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer

Position

  • Working as a member of a project team to deliver quality services to clients
  • Ensures all geotechnical designs are in accordance with set standards and all recommendations are robust, value-based and commissionable
  • Ensures that designs are delivered on time to our clients and that the design fulfills the client’s brief
  • Inspects construction work and ensures that all aspects of design are correctly implemented
  • Monitors processes and results and ensure that they comply with relevant safety, legal, ethical and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to make appropriate judgments and decisions and exercise initiative
  • Assisting at the tender stage of projects
  • Management of projects in compliance with Ayesa engineering's Integrated Management System (IMS)

Requirements

  • Can effectively communicate with clients, colleagues and outside agencies and build effective working relationships and always aiming to exceeding client expectations
  • Degree qualified in a relevant field and achieved/working towards chartered status
  • Adheres to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards and Health and Safety Regulations
  • Represent and promote Ayesa in a professional manner and develop effective working relationships with clients and potential clients
  • Is committed to Continued Professional Development
  • Experience in the field of geotechnical works (minimum of 2 years’ experience)
  • Has proven technical knowledge of specific subject areas pertaining to geotechnical works, i.e. Pile designs, retaining walls design, deep excavations, deep basements, tunneling, earthworks etc.)
  • Proven ability to use relevant software
  • Experienced & confident with report writing and presentation skills
  • Experience working on rail projects would be desirable
