Job Summary

Kiwa CMT is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Site Technician to join our team. This role primarily involves on-site work at various construction projects, with some duties based in our Derby laboratory. You will be responsible for conducting high-quality testing services mainly around the Midlands, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

About The Role

  • Carry out geotechnical site and laboratory testing
  • Ensure equipment is in current calibration and pre-test checks are completed
  • Ensure that test equipment is checked regularly and functioning correctly, and that any failures, defects, or damage is reported via current systems
  • Use and maintain equipment with all due care and ensure that weekly checks are carried out
  • Ensure that all necessary test information, results, and QC data are recorded in the manner required by current procedures
  • Maintain good site working practice at all times

Do you have what it takes?

  • Experience in Geotechnical testing
  • Knowledge and experience of site and lab-based geotechnical test methods
  • The ability to support training and development of other technicians
  • Ability to calibrate test equipment
  • Motivated and focused, with a positive outlook/approach
  • Be flexible – some possible overtime and weekend work applies to the role
  • Be able to work with a varied workload
  • Communication is key for this role; you will be able to make an impact and work well within a team
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Holds CSCS card
