Summary
The African German Centre for Sustainable and Resilient Food Systems and Applied Agricultural and Food Data Science (UKUDLA) — funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with funds from the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space, Germany — offers scholarships to support PhD thesis research projects in southern Africa, in cooperation with one of our partner institutions.

The primary aim of UKUDLA is to develop young scientists’ expertise in sustainable and resilient food systems and applied data science. Applications that integrate both aspects are particularly encouraged.
The scholarship covers a time period of 36 months (+ six months optional extension) with a subsistence allowance (e.g. 1.800,00 Euro/month for South Africa/Malawi).
