Job Overview
We are seeking a German Speaking Financial Crime Auditor for an immediate contract opportunity supporting a Germany Financial Crimes audit. This assignment is expected to start as soon as possible and is currently anticipated to run through 20 November 2026.
This role requires a senior-level professional with strong German financial crime regulatory expertise to support audit activity, review scope completeness, identify gaps, and conduct targeted testing where additional regulatory insight is needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Support a Germany-focused Financial Crimes audit engagement
- Review audit scope for completeness against German regulatory expectations
- Identify potential control, compliance, and audit coverage gaps
- Perform targeted testing in areas requiring specialist regulatory knowledge
- Provide subject matter expertise on German financial crime regulations and requirements
- Collaborate with internal audit and stakeholder teams to strengthen audit delivery
- Advise on regulatory considerations relevant to BaFin and broader German financial crime compliance frameworks

Required Skills and Experience
- Strong knowledge of BaFin regulations and related Financial Crimes requirements
- Fluent or professional-level German language skills
- Experience performing or supporting regulatory audits in Germany
- Strong understanding of financial crime risk, controls, and regulatory expectations
- Ability to assess audit coverage and identify gaps in scope or testing
Preferred Background
- Senior Auditor with financial crime and regulatory audit experience, or
- Deep BaFin and German regulatory subject matter expertise, even if not from a traditional audit background
