Consulting Point works with management consultancies and advisory businesses across Europe, helping them identify specialist talent and understand the markets in which they operate.

We are expanding our Leicester team and are seeking a German-speaking Research Consultant to support assignments across the DACH region, covering Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This is an opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who enjoys research, communication, and working in an international business environment.

You will become part of a close-knit research and delivery team, supporting consultants on searches and developing a detailed understanding of the consulting market across the DACH region. Your work will combine desk research, relationship-building, written communication, and the effective use of digital tools.

You will be responsible for:

  • Investigating consulting firms, practices, sectors, and market movements across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
  • Identifying relevant consultants and senior professionals using research, networking, and CRM data
  • Building and maintaining accurate talent maps across the DACH consulting market
  • Speaking with prospective candidates and understanding their experience, interests, and career plans
  • Preparing candidate profiles, market updates, and other materials for internal and client use
  • Keeping records, contact details, and market intelligence up to date
  • Using AI, automation, and other technologies to improve the quality and efficiency of your work
  • Supporting the wider team with client research and business development activity

What we are looking for:

  • Fluent German and strong English, both written and spoken
  • A degree or equivalent academic background
  • An interest in management consulting, professional services, recruitment, or market research
  • Confidence communicating with professionals at different levels of seniority
  • Strong research skills and the ability to assess information carefully
  • A structured, organized approach with good attention to detail
  • Commercial awareness and curiosity about how advisory firms operate
  • The motivation to learn quickly and develop within a professional services environment
