About the Role
As a Translator, your main role will be to support Language Insight’s Translation teams and work independently alongside your colleagues on Translations, Proofreading, Quality Assurance checks, and other language-related tasks, maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring deadlines and KPIs are met. Language Insight’s core client base requires work in Medical Market Research.
Tasks/Duties include:
- Translating from English into your native language, working on quantitative and qualitative Market Research screeners, questionnaires/discussion guides and stimuli/profiles, reports, presentations, etc.
- Proofreading from English into your native language and providing feedback to translators in a professional and constructive manner.
- Implementing edits and client feedback, addressing queries in a professional and clear manner.
- Carrying out various other language-related tasks as required, such as but not limited to overlays, link checking, and quality checks in your native language as well as other languages.
- Understanding basic to intermediate technical challenges and code structure in multiple file formats.
- Working on programming tools and platforms to implement client changes.
- Post-editing machine/AI translations following clients' requirements.
- Maintaining your own records and admin, where needed.
- Taking responsibility for the quality of your own work, incorporating quality assurance checks and feedback into your work.
- Carrying out translation and quality assurance checks into English (for Open Ends and when appropriate).
- Meeting deadlines, quality standards, and KPIs at all times.
- Adhering to our ISO and quality standards and flagging to Project Managers any concerns.
- Showing independence and proactivity in your work once signed off.
- Being a team player, helping the team meet deadlines and sharing the workload, not only for your language tasks but also for all the general in-house tasks.

Essential qualification/abilities

- MA in Translation.
- Native in German and proficient (C1 level) in English.
- A minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in human Translation.
- Exception attention to detail.
- Strong time-management skills and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to effectively resolve issues and work within a team.
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with CAT tools, in particular Phrase and memoQ, and standard translation workflows.
- Commitment to confidentiality, information security, and professional ethical standards.
- Excellent writing and communication skills to convey complex information clearly across languages and audiences.
Desired experience
- Experience in translating content in one or more of the following: Medical Market Research, Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Medical or Diagnostic Devices.
- Knowledge of market research programming tools and platforms.
- 1-2 years of experience in post-editing (separate and in addition to 2 years of experience in Human Translation).
