A SERVICE ADVISOR ROLE WITH ROOM TO EARN

Looking for a Service Advisor role where your customer skills, organisation and ability to keep a busy workshop moving are properly valued?

This is an opportunity to join an established and growing automotive retail business in Reading, with a £30,000-£31,000 basic salary, an uncapped OTE of £38,000 and genuine opportunities to develop your career.

THE OPPORTUNITY

You’ll be joining an established dealership operation where the Service Advisor plays an important part in the customer experience and the smooth running of the workshop.

Previous automotive Service Advisor experience is important, as you’ll already need to understand the pace of an aftersales environment and how to keep customers, Technicians and the wider team moving.

THE ROLE

  • Manage customer bookings and make sure expectations are clear from the start
  • Welcome customers and understand their servicing, repair and vehicle requirements
  • Liaise closely with Technicians and the workshop throughout the repair process
  • Keep customers updated on vehicle progress, costs and timescales
  • Prepare job cards, estimates and invoices accurately
  • Discuss servicing and repair requirements and identify appropriate additional work
  • Make sure vehicles are ready for collection when promised
  • Help deliver a smooth, professional customer experience from booking through to collection

You’ll Need

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience as an automotive Service Advisor
  • Confidence discussing vehicle repairs, costs and timescales with customers
  • A good understanding of workshop and aftersales processes
  • The ability to manage multiple jobs while keeping communication clear
  • A positive, professional approach to customer service
  • A full UK driving licence

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

  • Main dealership experience
  • Experience working with manufacturer systems and processes
  • Experience with service plans or additional sales
  • Experience working closely with a busy workshop
