South London Girls Football Academy is recruiting UEFA C and UEFA B coaches for the 2026/27 season across our three centres in Southwark, Lewisham and Bromley.
Coach at one centre, or build your week across two or all three.
The Role at a Glance
- Role: Academy Coach (Girls' Player Development)
- Pay: £30 per 1-hour session (UEFA B) | £25 per 1-hour session (UEFA C)
- Up to 5 sessions a week across our three centres (up to £150/week on UEFA B)
- Contract: Employed (PAYE), sessional. Now until July 2027, immediate start
- Players: Girls aged 4–16, coached in age groups
Where and When
- Bromley: Wednesdays, 6–7pm (1 session), Bromley High School (BR1)
- Lewisham: Fridays, 6–8pm (2 back-to-back sessions), St Dunstan's Jubilee Grounds (SE6)
- Southwark: Saturdays, 11:30am–1:30pm (2 back-to-back sessions), Burgess Park Sports Centre (SE5)
About Us
SLGFA is a technical development academy for girls across South London. Every age group trains weekly at each centre, and we cap group sizes (16 players, or 12 for Under-7s and below) so every girl gets real coaching time, not just a place in a queue.

We're looking for more than qualified coaches. We want good people: coaches who genuinely care about young players, build real relationships, and understand the difference great coaching makes on and off the pitch.
What You'll Do
- Deliver engaging, high-quality sessions in line with our coaching philosophy
- Develop players technically, tactically, physically, psychologically and socially
- Create safe, positive and inclusive learning environments
- Complete session plans and player development reports
- Work closely with fellow coaches and academy staff
- Hold the highest standards of professionalism, safeguarding and player welfare
Essential
- UEFA C or UEFA B Licence (your pay rate follows your licence)
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (children's workforce)
- FA Safeguarding Children qualification
- FA Emergency First Aid qualification
- 5+ years' experience coaching youth football
- Experience within a professional club pathway: Academy, Emerging Talent Centre (ETC), Development Centre or Advanced Player Programme (APP)
Desirable
- Experience coaching girls' football
- Experience delivering individual player development
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
