Life on the Team

As a Business Information Security Officer (BISO) within the Cyber Security function, you’ll join an experienced team of security professionals dedicated to protecting Computacenter and its customers from cyber threats. The team operates as a trusted business partner, ensuring security risks are understood, managed, and aligned with broader business goals.

This is a UK-based role offering a hybrid working model, requiring two to three days per week on-site (available in Hatfield or Blackfriars in London, with other UK locations considered). The role focuses on safeguarding Group Business Services (GBS) by collaborating closely with functions such as Legal, HR, Finance, Facilities, and Group Development.

As part of the wider Group Information Services (GIS) Cyber Security team, you’ll work in a matrixed environment, supporting the evolving cyber security strategy in partnership with Strategic Partner Matrix teams and specialist functions. In this highly collaborative role, BISOs act as the bridge between Cyber Security and the business, translating risk into actionable insights, influencing decision-making, and embedding security into daily operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Security partnering: Be the primary interface between Cyber Security and the business for your assigned area.
  • Risk-aligned strategy: Develop and maintain the business unit’s security approach, aligned with business goals, risk appetite, and strategic priorities.
  • Stakeholder management: Build and sustain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, providing clear, pragmatic, and business-focused security advice.
  • Risk visibility: Ensure Cyber Security risk posture visibility for executive decision-making.
  • Risk mitigation: Advise on risk treatment options while balancing security needs with business pragmaticities.
  • Security improvements: Drive initiatives and risk mitigation actions across the business area.
  • Compliance support: Ensure alignment with regulatory, contractual, and Computacenter standards.
  • Major transformation: Act as a security subject matter expert on business initiatives and major change efforts.
  • Internal representation: Champion Cyber Security within the business, translating strategy, policy, and risk into practical, actionable steps.
  • Strategic influence: Guide and influence key business decisions to ensure security considerations are understood and managed.
  • KPI alignment: Understand how cybersecurity risks impact KPIs and drive appropriate risk management and prioritisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
