Location: United Kingdom, South West/East Midlands/East Anglia area.

Hybrid, customer-facing position and will involve regular travel to customer sites and occasional travel away from home.

Salary: Starting salary from £35,000 per annum, depending on experience + security clearance premium + generous annual bonus (circa 20%)

Nationality Requirements: Eligible to obtain and maintain DV clearance – you must hold primary UK Citizenship and have lived in the UK continuously for the last 10 years.

Role Overview:

Esri UK is looking for GIS Consultants to join our Professional Services team, working with customers across the Defence and Public Safety sectors.

Experience of working within a Defence or Public Safety environment is desirable, but not essential. You will use your GIS and technical expertise to help customers understand, implement and maximise the value of the ArcGIS Platform.

You'll work closely with customers, Project Managers, Solution Architects and other consultants to deliver high-quality GIS solutions across a range of challenging and technically interesting projects.

As a GIS Consultant, you will:

  • Provide expert GIS advice, guidance and technical support to Defence and Public Safety customers.
  • Implement, configure and deploy solutions using the ArcGIS Platform.
  • Work with customers to understand their requirements and translate these into effective GIS solutions.
  • Configure and customise Esri software and associated technologies.
  • Develop and deploy custom applications where appropriate, using technologies such as Python, JavaScript and C#.
  • Work independently and collaboratively across customer projects.
  • Deliver agreed work packages to time, budget and quality standards.
  • Build strong customer relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Provide technical input into proposals, tenders and business development opportunities.
  • Promote adoption of the ArcGIS Platform and demonstrate the benefits of new capabilities.
  • Provide regular project updates and highlight progress, risks and issues.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience working as a GIS Consultant, GIS professional, Software Engineer or in a similar technical role.
  • Experience implementing, configuring and deploying ArcGIS GIS solutions.
  • Experience working with customers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Knowledge of enterprise IT environments and how GIS integrates with wider technology.
  • Experience with Esri APIs and development technologies would be beneficial.
  • You must be eligible to obtain and maintain DV UK Security Clearance.
  • Thrive in a collaborative Professional Services environment.
